I started fishing when i was about 5 years old from there i was hooked no pun intended lol when i got to be about 11 or 12 i really got into fishing hardcore my fishing partner ever since i was a kid has been my cousin Robby we went bass fishing all of the time by the time i was 15  i had alot of nice fish under my belt from 1 lb bluegills to 8 lb large mouth i always cat fished but not like a do now my dear Friend and some what of a fishing mentor Richard told me to try my hand at chasing big catfish so he taught me enough to get started but told me i have to learn everything else on my own which I'm thankful he told me because that's the only way you can learn  in 2002 i went with a buddy of mine to a local lake and we fished all night  when midnight struck that night i asked if he wanted to leave he said lets give it 15 more minutes 2 minutes later i noticed my line going out i set the hook on the fish and as soon as i did the drag started screaming after a 30 minute fight on my 6ft 6" bass rod with a spinning reel loaded with 6 lb test we landed the beast it ended up being a giant Flathead ! my first ever the fish ended up being a lake record at 40 lbs from there on i was addicted to chasing big catfish . We ended up really studying and  sharpening our skills at cat fishing soaking up info and it was starting to pay off over there years we caught a ton of decent catfish at local lakes between 15 -30 lbs everyone at the lakes started to take notice we were catching bigger fish than normally we tried to keep our tactics a secret but people kept asking us how we were catching these fish so we caved in a little bit . On my 21st bday me my cousin and 2 buddies decided to take our first trip ever down to to the James River with Captain Hugh Self  and it was an awesome trip we ended up catching 3  50 lb blue cats and from there my obsession grew i have not caught alot of monsters down there but i have caught my biggest cat's ever down there being 58 lbs 64 lbs and a giant 70.2 lb giant ! have caught  alot of fish from 20-40 lbs  i love taking people cat fishing that have either never caught a cat or caught one over 20 lbs i have helped people catch their biggest cats ever at the lakes we fish and to see them struggle when they bowed up with a nice cat is just awesome and when we land them the facial expression's and smiles when they are holding there fish it is just an awesome feeling i know I'm only 25 years old but i have caught enough decent fish to satisfy me for a lifetime i absolutely love to watch people catch fish and big ones at that there is not a better high in the world to me. I cant thank the people that have shown me how to catch them through the years and help me get where i am in my fishing career so for that i thank each and every one of you for that
