Tournament Rule's
*No membership is required.
*Entry fee for all open tournaments (with the exception of the invitational on December 8, 2012) will be $40.00 per team with 90% payout. Entry fee for the invitational tournament on December 8, 2012 will be $80.00 per team with 90% payout. All teams will have the option to enter the biggest fish jackpot. The entry fee for the biggest fish jackpot will be $10.00 per team with 100% payback for the open tournaments. The entry fee for the biggest fish jackpot will be $20.00 per team for the invitational tournament with 100% payback.
*In order to qualify for the invitational tournament, an individual angler must have competed in 3 of the 5 Old Dominion Catfish Club tournaments in 2012.
*We will payout the top 3 spots regardless of the number of boats entered in the tournament.
*A team shall be 1 - 4 anglers.
*No alcoholic beverages may be consumed during tournament hours.
*All fish must be caught on rod and reel within tournament hours on the body of water set for
that tournament or its feeder creeks.
*2 fish per boat can be weighed, but each boat has to abide by DGIF law, so there can only be 1
32"+ fish per person. For example, if there is only 1 angler in a boat, he can only weigh 1 fish
that exceeds 32".
*Any bait may be used unless restricted by law.
*No trailering of boats will be allowed.
*All tournaments are catch and release only. All fish will become the property of the Old
Dominion Catfish Club and will be released at the tournament site. Releasing of the fish shall be
the responsibility of the team, under the supervision of a tournament officer. Any team who
refuses to follow the direction of said officer shall be disqualified.
*All fishing must be done from a boat.
*No dead fish will be weighed in at any time. Fish must swim away within 5 minutes of being placed in the water. If they don't, they are considered a dead fish and will be disqualified from the
weigh-in.
*All members of each team must sign a waiver before each tournament.
*One member from each team must check in before the tournament dead line. The team's poker
chip must be hanging on the board to be considered checked-in on time.
*No stringers may be used at any time for any tournament fish.
*Tournament participation requires a permanently or temporarily installed in-boat live well. No
decoy bags allowed. No fish are to be transported out of the water.
*All pre-fishing must stop 7 hours before the scheduled tournament start time.
*Bait fishing is allowed prior to tournament
*Weigh-In Policy: The entire team must be present at the weigh-in and returning in the original
boat. If a team hasn't checked in by the determined weigh-in time, they will be disqualified. NO
EXCEPTIONS. A disabled boat can be towed as long as it is in by the deadline.
*All protests must be brought to the attention of a committee member in writing
within 10 minutes after weigh-in with a $40.00 protest fee that is refundable if complaint is
upheld. This fee must be paid at the time of the protest to be considered valid.
*Old Dominion Catfish Club tournament officials shall reserve the right to refuse
tournament entry to any person or team.
