The Tackle Box

The great thing about cat fishing you don't need a bunch of fancy bass lures that cost upwards of $10 for my setup  you don't need  much  all you need is some hooks , crane swivel's ,leader line ,sinker slides and some sinkers

My hook size's vary from little teeny khale hooks up to big 10/0 circle hooks

sinker slide , swivel & tubing box you can pick the crane swivel's and these awesome sinker slides which can withstand the use of braided line with out cutting  at

Depending on where i will be fishing determines what size sinkers i will need for the trip if i am bank fishing or me and my cousin are on his 15 ft flat bottom at the local lakes we rarely use sinkers no bigger than 4 oz most of the time we use 1-3 oz  sinkers we only step it up to 4 oz if we are using a big live bait and we need to keep him on the bottom when we fish the James River we use flat sinkers AKA ( donut , river or bottom dweller style ) sinkers and we use  anywhere from a 4 oz sinker all the way up to 14 oz and a few times almost 18 oz depending on how fast the current

notice in this picture to the right of the  sinker slide a piece of airline tubing for fish tanks i like using this instead of a plastic bead to protect my knot it has more give and will not damage you knot after a long day of fishing and i know what some are thinking " will it slide over the swivel" ?  and the answer is no IF you are using a big enough swivel i use 4/0 crane swivel's AKA barrel swivel's  and these swivel's are big enough that the tubing will not slide over the head of the swivel preventing it from rotating

This is my Quarrow digital scale weighs fish up to 110 lbs ! has a built in light a 3 ft tape measure awesome little scale you can pick these scales up at
